Is Kairon free?

Yes. Kairon is free for Windows (64-bit, Windows 10 & 11). No account is required to download or use it.

What platforms does Kairon support?

Windows only, for now. macOS, Linux, and mobile builds are planned but not yet available.

Where is my data stored?

Everything — history (in a local SQLite database), settings, bookmarks, Quick Access, session state, and download history — is stored locally in the app's user data folder. It never leaves your machine. Ad-blocking filter lists are downloaded from EasyList and EasyPrivacy at startup.

Does Kairon have an ad blocker?

Yes, built in. It blocks ads and trackers at the network layer using the EasyList and EasyPrivacy filter lists, with Off, Standard, and Aggressive modes in the shields menu.

How do bookmarks and downloads work?

The ⭐ button beside the omnibox opens a Bookmarks / Quick Access chooser, and Ctrl+D toggles a bookmark. Downloads save automatically to your configured folder and can be paused, resumed, cancelled, opened, or shown in folder from the toolbar panel or the kairon://downloads page.

Does incognito mode make me anonymous?

No. Incognito prevents Kairon from retaining local browsing data after the window closes, but it does not hide your IP address from websites, ISPs, or network administrators.

Can I import from Chrome or Firefox?

Not today. Kairon imports a legacy local history file on first run, but there is no import from other browsers.

Does Kairon support extensions?

No. Kairon does not support extensions yet; extension support is planned but not implemented.

Is there a sync or account system?

No. There are no accounts and no sync — all data stays on your local drive. Encrypted sync and cloud accounts are planned for the future.
